Australian inventor Bill Allardyce has invented the Asian cuisine eating tool which is so easy, even a child can use it.
An excellent tool, it enhances the culinary experience of anyone who wants to enjoy Asian style food without the hassle of trying to use ordinary chopsticks. Aussie Chopsticks recently won the Derryn Hinch Innovation Award - yes, they do make that much difference to the enjoyment of Asian cuisine! These chopsticks were designed and made by Bill - a technology broker and inventor, in Anglesea, Victoria. Bill was fiddling with some wire (as inventors are wont to do), perhaps he was hungry for some Chinese food - which several weeks later led to a prototype of the Aussie Chopsticks. Back in those days, it was basically two chopsticks connected by a bent piece of plastic and some car body-filler. As happens, time improves a lot of things - the Aussie Chopstick was re-designed several times until the current model was produced. Our country is much more culturally diverse these days, with so many different types of cuisine available to tempt the palate. Using the Aussie Chopsticks means the food gets to your mouth, not down your shirtfront ! |
